Ranch Dip
Have you ever craved homemade Ranch Dip? This super easy Ranch Dip is so satisfying, it’ll make you forget you’re dipping veggies (or whatever else you dip in Ranch) into it. Now I know there are a plethora of Ranch Dip options at the grocery store, but there’s something about making your own and being able to add your favorite seasonings to it!
We made this Dip before our first float trip on the Buffalo River; it paired well with fresh veggies from our garden (mainly cherry tomatoes and seasoned cucumbers), along with potato chips and just about anything else you can think of (yes, even your finger). It’s so tasty that any time I’m with my friend, she asks if I made my Ranch Dip!
So here you go, for all you Ranch Dippers out there - let’s make some Dip. You’ll need:
1 Cup Milk (we use Lactose Free Milk)
1 Cup Mayo
1 Tbsp Ranch Seasoning
1 Tsp Dill Weed Seasoning
2 Tsp Garlic Powder
2 Tsp Onion Powder
Dash Cayenne Pepper Seasoning
Whisk
Storage Container with Lid
Mix Milk and Mayo into a mixing bowl. Use your Whisk to combine both ingredients until smooth. FYI - I’ve tried doing this with a fork, and unfortunately my Dip turned out chunky. I’ve also tried with a spoon; same chunky results. The Whisk is my go-to and should be yours too!
Now, for the best part, let’s add some flavor! A little bit about me, I absolutely love Ranch Powder. Like love love love. So I usually add (roughly) 1 Tablespoon Ranch Powder to the Dip. Whisk well.
Next add Dill Weed Seasoning, Garlic Powder, and Onion Powder. Whisk until smooth. Adding these seasonings will thicken the Dip up, so feel free to slowly add more Milk until it gets to a consistency of your liking.
Lastly, I add Cayenne Pepper Seasoning to my Ranch Dip to give it a little heat. For us, the more the merrier; besides, the Cayenne helps keep that metabolism going! But quite frankly, just add however much your mouth can handle.
Store the Ranch Dip in a closed container (I use leftover food containers that can easily be thrown away after a float) and put in the refrigerator for at least an hour so that the Dip sets and all flavors start to blend well.
